Trailer for Jumping The Broom

I am so excited about this cast! It's a good mix of familiar faces and some break out performances.

This is Salim Akil's feature debut and he did a great job. The film looks gorgeous. Every penny (the few we had) is on the big screen.

The trailer will be in front of "For Colored Girls" this weekend (in the States).

JTB is a small indie movie. It will be on about 700 screens. As we get closer to the release day I will try not to freak out.

I've been told already by several writer friends not to read reviews. It will be hard for me not to do so.

Opens Mother's Day 2011.

Thanks everyone. Wow, Diana..hahaha

I don't know what the foreign distribution will be like. Usually films like this are not released overseas. Per international execs they are too "small and specific."

Such a shame if we cannot see it in the UK...The trailer is brilliant .... as Michelle says ... Wooooooohooooooooooo!

Really exciting news :-)

Woooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwww! It looks lovely - and it's like watching dreams come true right before my eyes!

I hope it comes to Trinidad/Tobago. I've got a plan for if it does - something about interviewing the screenwriter for one of our dailies - if she's willing! :)

WOW! What a cast and it looks absolutely fabulous. I can't wait to see it.

I also can't wait to see "For Colored Girls" - it was probably the most influential piece to both my writing and theater work when I was in high school, strange as that may seem.

I actually got teary at the end of this trailer. I'm just so, so happy to see this!

Thanks Anon. I went to ET's website. I'm surprised and excited our small movie was mentioned given all the huge movies coming out next spring and summer.
