Oh snap! Roma takes the lead over Inter in Serie A.

I'm not even going to call my friend G. He's a hard core Inter fan.

Yesterday people were honking horns, cheering and all the bars were packed.

To tell you the truth, I'm in shock.

Roma started out terribly this year. So much so, their coach was fired.

That they are actually in the lead for Serie A is unbelievable. Inter (one of the Milan teams. AC Milan is the other and they are in third place) has had Serie A on lockdown the last couple of years.

I have already been warned that if Roma wins the Scudetto (Serie A Championship), it's going to be bananas. Roma is still the underdog and their lead is only one point.

We'll see what happens with the last few games of the season. It's so exciting...well maybe not for Inter fans. Poor G.

I'm just glad that Milan didn't win this week. It is amazing how Serie A has developed this season. Sometimes, I get a bit jaded about how the big teams always seem to win on a PK from a questionable call in the last few minutes of the game when they were outplayed and had played so terribly.

Kudos to Roma!

sara - Let me know if you make it down.

odisseaitaliana- I think ESPN might stream games on their website. Not sure.

homebody at heart - The race is so tight now. I can't wait until Sunday's Derby.

Scintilla - Sorry...

Even if my Milan is suffering these days, I love it when the season finishes like this. A nailbiter till the very end!
I remember when Roma won the scudetto about 10 years ago. The city went nuts. And the worst thing was that Sabrina Ferilli paraded down Circo Massimo in nothing but a bikini, carrying the Roma flag. Consider yourself warned!
